Proper research data management (RDM) is becoming an important prerequisite for the successful approval and execution of research projects.

This two-day course will provide you with the essential knowledge and skills to enhance the management of the research data in your PhD project, with a specific focus on documenting data and annotating metadata

Day 1
On the first course day, you will have the opportunity to discuss your RDM challenges with RDM experts of the University of Basel and learn from them about the basic principles, methods, tools, and legal aspects of RDM. You will receive practical advice on data organization, data protection, storage solutions and useful RDM services.

Day 2
On the second course day, Dr. Silke Gerlich from the Helmholtz Metadata Collaboration will conduct an in-depth training session on data documentation and metadata annotation. This will equip you with the necessary knowledge to publish your research data in repositories specific to the health sciences.
