Forum for PhD supervisors
Course Description
Building on our Supervisor Workshop with Beate Scholz, this one-day forum offers a space for supervisors to reconnect, exchange experiences, and discuss current challenges in supervising PhD students.
Based on participant feedback, the peer-to-peer exchange was one of the most valued aspects of the original workshop. This follow-up session focuses on open discussion, moderated reflection, and sharing practical approaches to supervision.
Participants
Open for all experienced post-docs up to the professorial level of Swiss TPH and/or the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel. The workshop is tailored to the needs of the participants in that we consider their respective career stages.
We prioritize people who have attended the supervisor workshop before.
Max. 10 participants.
Lecturer
Dr. Beate Scholz – Scholz consulting training and coaching
Beate Scholz works internationally as a trainer and coach at universities and research organizations, among other things focusing on research career development and international research cooperation. Previously, she was in charge of DFG’s research careers unit.
Workload & credits
You’ll receive a certificate of attendance for this workshop. The workshop may count towards Modul C in the “Basis-Zertifikat Hochschuldidaktik.
